I know I haven't posted much, but I didn't think me unpacking was very exciting to anyone. I sure know how unexciting it has been for me. Anyways, I finally got enough supplies unpacked to work on some projects. This one is my anniversary quilt. See I'm not much of a scrapbooker, I think its too expensive, I am horrible at cutting straight, I just don't get it. However, since I'm not into scrapbooking there are other ways to remember things and major events. My family always used quilts, so I figured for our anniversaries that would be a great idea. I'm kind of behind, but I now am only two years behind. I made one from when we lived in Washington state, this particular anniversary was our 5th anniversary, almost 3 years ago. We took our pop-up camper to the beach. Ironically that year our anniversary fell on Easter. We had a great time flying kites on the beach and we meet some friends that we hung out with all weekend. We had a huge bonfire on the beach. The campgrounds were up on a hill overlooking the beach. The hill was so steep you had to drive down to the beach, which was cool because you could actually drive on the beach. Next to the beach scene you can see a little the year before where we went sledding in the mountains. That was pretty unique since our anniversary is in April.
